Doyin Okupe, former presidential spokesman and ex-director-general of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Organization, praised President Bola Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, particularly the removal of “superfluous ministries.”
In a Lagos interview, he highlighted KPMG’s role in assessing ministers’ performance, which informed their dismissal.
Okupe called the reshuffle a necessary step for streamlining government operations and emphasized that it was based on performance metrics rather than arbitrary decisions.
He expressed hope in Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and urged the new cabinet to tackle Nigeria’s pressing issues, reaffirming his belief in Tinubu’s leadership to address the country’s economic challenges.
