Between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024, educational authorities in the Western Cape documented a total of 1,059 disciplinary cases involving teachers. In this period, they also finalized 1,066 cases, reflecting an effort not only to address new incidents but also to clear pending cases from prior years. This proactive approach underscores the commitment of the region’s education department to uphold professional standards and accountability within schools.
